SACDV Members Enjoy
Factory Tour and
Top-Notch Education Program

On Monday, June 22, SACDV members met at ASI for an afternoon and evening of networking and education. 33 members arrived early to tour ASI Headquarters, located in Trevose, PA.
The tour concluded in the Bucks County Technical Park Conference Center where members gathered for a wine and cheese networking hour and chatted with their peers while making a few new friends. Over 50 attendees, many new faces to SACDV, then enjoyed a pizza party (including original A & W Root Beer Floats as dessert) and listened attentively to presentations from suppliers sponsoring the event.
Janet Mc Master, SACDV education chair, enlightened the crowd on a bill currently before Congress - the Physician Payments Sunshine Act. She stressed the importance of a grassroots effort to fight the bill. More detail on the bill and the large impact it can make on our industry was discussed by Dale Denham, Sr. VP ASI.
The highlight of the event was a “must-see” program presented by Gene Geiger, MAS, CEO/President Geiger, “Virtual Business Cultivation”. Gene detailed ways members can use social networks to build their business. A few highlights of the presentation included:
• People buy from people they know and trust
• Building doors are closing but virtual doors are opening
• The main social networks are:
• Facebook - 200 million members (50% are over 35)
• Linkedin – 40 million members (business oriented)
• Twitter - 35 million users
Many attendees felt they attended one of SACDV’s most informative, fun events of 2009. “What a great meeting...it was excellent! The factory tour of ASI was very impressive, including the size of ASI. Gene Geiger’s presentation was very worthwhile as he provided information that we all can use to increase our business in tough economic times”, said SACDV member Rob Craxford.
We would like to thank ASI for graciously hosting our June meeting.
Thanks also to our sponsors: Admints & Zagabor, ASI®, Montoco Graphics, PromoBiz Coach and Rockland Embroidery for their support and very informative presentations. Be sure to support those suppliers that support SACDV!
Hopefully, you attended and enjoyed this great meeting. If not, be sure to be on the lookout for more exciting, SACDV educational and networking events.
Looking forward to seeing you at our next event!
